Mineros Mexico is a professional basketball team based in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. Founded in 2011, the team plays in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP) and is owned by Grupo Mineros de Mexico, a mining company with operations across Mexico.
The team has had a successful run in the LNBP, winning three championships in the 2011-2012, 2013-2014, and 2014-2015 seasons. In addition, Mineros Mexico has also played in the FIBA Americas League, a continental competition for professional basketball teams in North America, Central America, and South America.
Mineros Mexico has a strong fan base in Cananea and across Mexico, and the team has worked to promote basketball and sports in the country through community events and youth programs.
